AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

The AHA’s Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course is a classroom, Instructor-led course which uses a series of videos and simulated pediatric emergencies. This course aims to improve outcomes for pediatric patients by preparing healthcare professionals to effectively recognize and intervene in patients with respiratory emergencies, shock, arrhythmias, and cardiopulmonary arrest by using high-performance team dynamics and high-quality individual skills. The AHA's PALS course has been updated to reflect science and education from the American Heart Association 2025 Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care. The course includes a series of case scenario practices with simulations that reinforce important concepts. Upon successful completion of all the patient cases, students must pass the multiple-choice exam with a minimum score of 84%.
American Heart Association (AHA) courses may require completion of pre-course preparation activities, self-assessments, online learning modules, and assigned reading materials before attendance.

In accordance with recommendations outlined in the American Heart Association Program Administration Manual (PAM), participants are strongly encouraged to register at least twenty-one (21) days before their scheduled course date to allow adequate time for preparation and completion of all required course prerequisites.

Participants are responsible for ensuring that all required pre-course requirements are completed before attending the course.
